Eight Crazy Nights.

Tonight Darren celebrated the first night of Hannukah. He put his hand on his hip as he impatiently waited to receive his first gift.











He finally gets his present (from Aunt Jo-Anne) and puts his new shirt directly into his mouth - ummmm...thanks for the yummy outfit!

This weekend, Darren got to meet one of my oldest friends. Darren loved Erica and Mike - and after hearing how Erica gave me a parakeet for my Bat Mitzvah, Darren is now hoping Erica gives him one for his Bar Mitzvah.

Thanksgiving!

Darren spent his first Thanksgiving with his Atlanta family. After we stuffed ourselves, we headed over to Lori's house to eat even more. Below, Lori practices giving birth. For her sake, let's hope Baby Owens isn't the size of Darren at 5 months.

Tasty hands.

Darren's best friend Ryan invited him over to play Saturday night. While Erica and I have enjoyed many play dates over the past 5 months, this was the first time Darren and Ryan really interacted with eachother. Ryan reached his hand over to Darren and they held hands for a while before Darren decided that Ryan's hand tasted just as good as his own.

5 Months!

It's hard to believe but Darren turned 5 months old on Saturday. He celebrated by showing off his new sitting moves and sharing his birthday with his favorite Aunt Cari. Darren didn't get cake, but he did eat rice cereal and was none the wiser.

Back to NYC.

This weekend we headed back to New York to visit Randy and the rest of the family - Darren loves visiting his uncles and grandparents.

Darren dressed up like a Hebrew National hotdog and went trick-or-treating. His neighbors loved him and he came home with lots of yummy candy - score for me.

Big Boy Update.

Last night Darren rolled over for the first time AND slept through the night. Next week - algebra.

Pumpkin Patch.

Darren went to his first pumpkin patch with his friends Ryan and Julia today. On the hay ride out to the pumpkin patch, a woman asked if Ryan and Darren were twins - come on people.

4 Months!

In honor of his own 4-month birthday, Darren decided to wake us up at 4:00am. Very clever - now don't do it again wise guy.

Spooooky.

Play group decided to dress up this week. Who knew hot dogs would be the "it" costume this year.

First Day of School.

OK - it's actually his first day of daycare. He seems really sad to be there, right?

New York - Again.

This weekend Darren traveled back to New York to make his Nana feel better. She was very excited to see him - the feeling was mutual.

Darren visits his first pumpkin patch - OK, it's 5 small pumpkins in Craig's condo but Darren doesn't know the difference.

Daycare Providers

This month Grandma Sheila and Grandpa Jeff went above and beyond and provided daycare services before Darren officially starts at Creme de la Creme next week. He loved his time with them and did everything from walking in Chastain Park with Grandpa's walking club to having an explosive poop in Bank of America. Grandma's most memorable moment happened when someone in the grocery store asked her how old HER child was.




Please Note: Grandma and Grandpa put that ridiculous green hat on Darren. He also learned how to do those crazy big eyes from The Runaway Bride who is actually the secretary at our Pediatrician's office. I am working up the nerve to ask her to take a picture with Darren. Do you think it would be too much if I ask her to wear a veil in the picture?
